Credit Card
February 13, 2008 | In credit cards |A credit card can be a great option for people who want to make purchases for items that they may not have the cash up front to purchase. Credit cards can come from specific department stores to be used in those stores, or you can receive a credit card that can be used anywhere.
Why should you get a credit card?
A credit card can help you make a large purchase that you don’t have the cash on hand to pay for. With most credit cards, you can pay the item off in small payments, which can help make items more affordable. Credit cards can also help you establish a good credit history, that you can later use when you want to make a larger purchase such as a house or vehicle.
Some credit cards offer cash back, or rewards on purchases you make. Depending on the credit card deal you receive you may “make money” by putting an item on your credit card and then paying it off.
A credit card can also make some purchases easier. for instance, with a credit card you are able to purchase gas for your car right at the pump. If you did not have a credit card you would have to pay for your gas inside, which is often closed late at night or early in the morning.
How is the interest rate on my credit card determined?
The interest rate you receive on you credit card is often determined by your overall credit rating. your credit rating is a compilation of reports supplied by all of the people from whom you receive credit. If you pay your bills on time, and have had other credit cards for a while, you will more than likely qualify for a low interest rate.
